Recently I faced one virus disturbing, which is the virus preventing me to view hidden files on the windows XP environment.
The virus meddles with the ’Show hidden files and folders’ option in the Folder Options and the option keeps bouncing back to ‘Do not show hidden files and folders’, despite repeated trials.
So I google the web and found the solution to set this problem right:
Navigate to the windows registry: Go to Start menu Click Run Type regedit in the text box and then click Enter.
When the Registry Editor opens, perform the following steps:
Go to the following registry key:
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then open Software.Under this navigate to: Microsoft -> Windows -> Current Version -> Explorer Then go to Advanced -> Folder -> Hidden -> SHOWALL Change value of CheckedValue. (Right now it should be REG_SZ and data should be 2 or 0.) Change the value data to 1 (0×00000001).
This should enable you to select the ‘Show hidden files and folders’ option without much problem. Do drop in comments if there are further queries and we shall try to find answers.

Wow... Microsoft search engine BING show bingo to Yahoo!

Microsoft Corp.’s new search tool, Bing, continues to gain ground in the world of search engines as part of its ongoing bid to steal market share away from Google, a new report released last week said.
More than a month after its release, Bing took 12.9 percent of the U.S. market over Yahoo!'s (News - Alert) 10.15 percent on July 9, according to StatCounter Global Stats, a Web analytics company. It was the second time since June that Bing surpassed Yahoo traffic, the company announced.
But the search engine still lags far behind Google, which commands the top spot with nearly 75 percent of the market, the company said.
Aodhan Cullen, chief executive officer of StatCounter, said the latest figures (see chart below) may be the result of a positive review of Bing that appeared on the New York Times Web site on July 8 and in its print edition a day later.
"While its lead over Yahoo may not last into next week, our data suggests that it is slowly but surely closing the gap," Cullen said of Bing in a statement.
StatCounter reported last month that Bing surpassed Yahoo! one day following the site’s June 1 launch. Overall in June, StatCounter said Bing took third place in search engine market share. Microsoft (News - Alert) had 8.23 percent share in the United States behind Yahoo at 11.04 percent and Google at 78.48 percent, the company said.
Microsoft is gaining users, thanks in part to its $80 million to $100 million campaign, which focuses on the idea that current search engines don’t work as well as consumers previously thought. The company launched the site two days before its slated June 3 release.
The software giant recently announced it has integrated Bing search into Hotmail. As TMCnet reported, users can add images and video search results from Bing to their e-mail. The new tool, dubbed “quick add,” lets people add restaurant reviews, movie times, images, video and maps into their e-mail messages.
Meanwhile, another Web tracker released a report that shows Bing’s market share is trailing Yahoo! Hitwise Pty., which measures online traffic, said Yahoo! maintained had 16.19 percent of the market compared to Bing’s 5.25 percent. Google (News - Alert) held on to 74.04 percent of the market in June, the company said. Hitwise said, however, that Bing's use grew an average of 2 percent during each week in June.
Bing, formerly known as Kumo, features a variety of services, including Bing Travel, Bing Cashback and Bing Maps for Enterprise. The name is designed to conjure “the sound of found” as Bing helps people with complex tasks.

A old uncle drove on the next lane falled asleep and knocked my car. My car got not serious damage. Re-paint will solve that problem! But 75% left side of my car got scratched from the back to the front.
He pretended nothing happend and just want to pay RM150 for my car. I asked for police report or he pay a minimum RM 800 (my repair fees need RM1.5K)

Even if you don't know any vegetarians yourself, you've probably heard the term. What exactly does it mean? What foods do they and don't they eat? The answers are here!
In general, a vegetarian is someone whose diet does not include certain animal products.
People often point to some food item and ask me, “Can you eat this?”
My answer is always “Sure, I can eat whatever I want.”
I choose not to eat certain things.
When deciding what type of vegetarian you want to be, think about what you want to include or avoid.
You don’t need to fit into one of these categories, but understanding them will help you think about your short-term and long-term goals.
You maybe interested to find out that there are several types of vegetarians, and each type of vegetarian diet differs slightly.
Which type of vegetarian are you?
And what do you include in your vegetarian diet?
Let’s find out all the six main types of Vegetarians now.
Type 1 : Semi-vegetarian/ Flexitarian
These 'vegetarians' eat all types of foods in their diet - including meat. However these individuals limit the amount of animal products they consume. Other words mean this people don’t have to be vegetarian to love vegetarian food! “Flexitarian” is a term recently coined to describe those who eat a mostly vegetarian diet, but occasionally eat meat. For example, they might eat no red or white meat (beef, pork, venison, etc), but eat fowl and fish. Or they might only eat meat once or twice a week. Someone who only eats fish can also be called a pescatarian (refer level 2).
Remarks:
Purists would say that semi-vegetarians are not vegetarians at all. But in order to show the complete hierarchy, it is good to have them in.
Type 2 : Pescatarian (also spelled pescetarian)
The word “pescatarian” is occasionally used to describe those who abstain from eating all meat and animal flesh with the exception of fish. Although the word is not commonly used, more and more people are adopting this kind of diet, usually for health reasons or as a stepping stone to a fully vegetarian diet.
Type 3 : Vegetarian ( Lacto-ovo-vegetarian )
Commonly vegetarian are categorized in this group. This type of vegetarian diet excludes all meat except for dairy and eggs. These people who do not eat beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish or animal flesh of any kind, but do eat eggs(*) those eggs and dairy products
( Sub group : Lacto-vegetarian | Ovo-vegetarian )
A small step up from the Lacto-ovo-vegetarian, there will be
·Ovo-vegetarians (eat eggs but not dairy)
These type of vegetarian who do not eat meat or dairy products but do eat eggs(*).
·Lacto-vegetarian (eat dairy but not eggs)
Individuals in this group are a step up from the semi vegetarians. They avoid all animal products except for dairy products in their diet. Other words mean they do not eat meat or eggs, but does eat dairy products.
Remarks:
1. “lacto” comes from the Latin for milk 2. “ovo” for egg. 3. Some asian vegetarian does not consume 5 type of vegetable, such like onion, garlic, leek, shallots and chives. Some refering to strong-smelling plants, traditionally garlic, Allium chinense, asafoetida, shallot, and Allium victorialis (victory onion or mountain leek). They are belongs to Allium Vegetables. They are refer as 五荤 'Five Acrid And Strong Smelling Vegetables' or 五辛 'Five Spices'
Type 4 : Vegan
They are are the 'hard-core" vegetarians who avoid all animal products in their diet, such as meats, dairy products, eggs, honey, or processed foods containing these or other animal-derived ingredients. The vegan diet rely on lentils, beans, soy products etc..
In western, many vegans also refrain from eating foods that are made using animal products that may not contain animal products in the finished process, such as sugar and some wines. There is some debate as to whether certain foods, such as honey, fit into a vegan diet.
Type 5 : Fruitarians / The macrobiotic diet
Fruitarians eat only fruit, fruit-like vegetables (e.g., tomatoes, cucumbers), and sometimes seeds and nuts. The macrobiotic diet, revered by some for its healthy and healing qualities, includes unprocessed vegan foods, such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Sugar and refined oils are avoided. Perhaps the most unique qualifier of the macrobiotic diet is its emphasis on the consumption of Asian vegetables, such as daikon, and sea vegetables, such as seaweed.
Remarks:
Some of the individuals said that they are allowed occasionally consumption of fish.
Type 6 : Raw Foodists / Living Foodists
Raw or Living Foodists eat only raw food, because enzymes are destroyed by normal cooking processes. A raw vegan diet consists of unprocessed vegan foods that have not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). “Raw foodists” believe that foods cooked above this temperature have lost a significant amount of their nutritional value and are harmful to the body.

It is that time of the year to reinforce the message again. The Star will do so in a fun way at its Green Day Celebration 2009 slated for June 7 from 8am to 3pm at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Kepong, in conjunction with World Environment Day.
A host of activities have been lined up to envelop the forest reserve with a carnival-like atmosphere while spreading the message of “Go Green, Live Green”, which has also been made the theme of this year’s celebration.
First of all, it is an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature. Join the Malaysian Nature Society for nature walks on FRIM’s Keruing Trail, from 11am to noon and 2pm to 3pm. Each session is limited to a maximum of 20 people on a first-come-first-served basis. Also, learn some recycling tips the fun way via its 3R and water conservation board games.
FRIM will be conducting guided nature trail and canopy walks at 9am, 10.30am and noon. Registration is free but the programme is limited to 35 participants per session, so be sure you put your name down at the Star Pavilion early!
Alternatively, check out FRIM’s unique tree climbing demonstration at 10am, 11am or 12.30pm to explore nature the more adventurous way.
